2018 BOAO Sculpture Festival
“丝路新语·2018博鳌国际雕塑展”于4月3日在海南省琼海市融创·金湾正式开幕。展览抓住了2018年博鳌亚洲论坛举办的契机，将充分展现海南作为中国古代海上丝绸之路的重要枢纽和当今“一带一路”倡议中沿途重镇的地位。
本次展览共邀请了83位中外艺术家参展，其中包括来自德国、意大利、西班牙、希腊、俄罗斯、保加利亚、塞尔维亚、埃及、以色列和新加坡等“一带一路”沿线国家的多位享有盛誉的雕塑家。在为期一个月的展期内，公众将欣赏到室内国际雕塑邀请展和海滩公共雕塑展两部分共计90余件展品。
海滩公共雕塑展览以关注人类与环境的生态和谐、中国传统文化的当代转换，以及当代社会的美好精神面貌为主题，在为观众带来视觉震撼的同时，加强公众对艺术的体验与互动。36件大型雕塑陈设在海天交际的背景下，让观众依照丝绸之路的形式在沙滩蜿蜒穿行，生动体现了中国山水画中“游”的概念。
The "Silk Road New Language · 2018 Boao International Sculpture Exhibition" officially opened on April 3rd in Rongchuang Jinwan, Qionghai City, Hainan Province. The exhibition seized the opportunity of the 2018 Boao Forum for Asia, and will fully demonstrate Hainan's position as an important hub of China's ancient maritime Silk Road and an important town along the the Belt and Road Initiative.
A total of 83 Chinese and foreign artists were invited to participate in the exhibition, including many renowned sculptors from Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece, Russia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Egypt, Israel, Singapore and other countries along the "the Belt and Road". During the one month exhibition, the public will enjoy over 90 exhibits in two parts: the Indoor International Sculpture Invitation Exhibition and the Beach Public Sculpture Exhibition.
The beach public sculpture exhibition focuses on the ecological harmony between humans and the environment, the contemporary transformation of traditional Chinese culture, and the beautiful spiritual outlook of contemporary society. While bringing visual shock to the audience, it strengthens the public's experience and interaction with art. 36 large sculptures are displayed against the backdrop of the sea sky interaction, allowing the audience to follow the form of the Silk Road and meander through the beach, vividly reflecting the concept of "travel" in Chinese landscape painting.
